Deudraeth Camera Club situated in the heart of the "Snowdonia
National Park"
was founded in the 1960's by a Group of
local people interested in photography.
The club has expanded
over the years and now has about 27 members.
The club values its
traditional photographic routes, without shying away
from
the latest digital cameras and computer AV presentation
technology.
Club meetings are held in the
Holy Trinity Church Hall, Penrhyndeudraeth on Mondays between September
and April. Meetings start at 7.15pm for 7.30pm prompt with
a
short refreshment break and finish at about
9.30pm.
Programmed evenings include guest speakers
providing presentations, In-house and Inter-club
Competitions, Digital and traditional photographic workshops,
and last
but not least our end of season "Print & Slide
of the year Competition".

The club is not open during the summer, however members
occasionally meet at photography field days in the local area. You
will be expected to take lots of Photographs during the summer period
in preparation for our winter competitions. Membership of
the
club is open to anyone with an interest in traditional or
digital photography
and all levels are encouraged and catered for.
You will find that we are a modern progressive
club with helpful and friendly members at all levels of experience.
If you would like
to come along to a few
meetings to see what we do before committing yourself, you would be very
welcome.
Please don’t be put off by some
of the good images you see on our web site - the photographers in
this club have a wide range of abilities and even the good ones
started with less experience than they have now!
This website has been created to
let you know all about our club, and to show you some of the photographic
work that our members produce. If you would like to share your
interest in photography with other enthusiasts, why not come along and
join us.
Subscription Rates 2009
/2010
Members £30.00; Couples £45; Student/Junior member £15.00;
Joining from January – Half subscription;
Visitors - £1 per visit
(maximum 3 visits), deductible from subscription on
joining.
Subscriptions include refreshments at all meetings.
