Dates for the Diary

2nd August 2014

(Saturday) -  Fair at the Millennium Park, Penrhyn. The club will be taking a table at the fair, it is an opportunity to publicise the club and possibly get a few more members. We will be asking for prints to show people what the club does. More information will be sent out nearer the time. We will need volunteers, so anybody who has a couple of hours to spare (from 2.00 – 5.00 p.m.) will be very welcome. Location - the Millennium Park is opposite the car park at the far end of the High street on the left as you go towards Llanfrothen

31st August 2014

(Sunday) -  Rhyl Air Show. Partners are welcome to join club members. Meet at Penrhyn Car Park, 9.30 a.m., The idea is if possible that members/partners share cars for the trip. Can you offer space/do you want to be taken or do you have space in your car? We were also thinking of members helping each other with their cameras if anybody is having difficulty - buddy camera system. Please contact Gwladys so that we have some idea of who would be interested.

1st September 2014

Please send 4 PI's to the  Competition Secretary by the 1st September for the first meeting on September 8th, as Gareth Jenkins would like to go through them to show members how to improve theis exhibits.
(see programme)

11th October 2014

Croeso - Welcome to the Deudraeth Camera Clwb Website

We are a vibrant, friendly and enthusiastic group with a broad range of
Photographic interests.

Deudraeth Camera Club situated in the heart of the "Snowdonia National Park" was founded in the 1960's by a Group of local people interested in photography.
The club has expanded over the years and now has about 28 members. The club values its traditional photographic routes, without shying away from the latest digital cameras
and computer AV presentation technology.

Club meetings are held
fortnightly on Monday evenings in the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Penrhyndeudraeth  throughout the year. Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm punctual start with a short refreshment break
during the evening and a finish between 9.30 - 10pm.

Programmed evenings include guest speakers providing presentations, In-house and Inter-club Competitions, Digital and traditional photographic workshops, and last but not least our end of season
"Print & PI of the year Competition".

Throughout the year the club runs a number of  weekend photographic opportunity shoots & visits, and during the summer
months evening photographic field trips on alternate Mondays to the scheduled meeting.
(See Programme for details).
You will be expected to take lots of Photographs throughout the year in preparation for the various competitions. Membership of the club is open to anyone with an interest in traditional or digital photography and all levels are encouraged and catered for.

You will find that we are a modern progressive club with helpful and friendly members at all levels of experience. If you would like to come along to a few meetings to see what we do before
committing yourself, you would be very welcome.

Please don’t be put off by some of the good images you see on our web site - the photographers in this club have a wide range of abilities and even the good ones started with less experience than they have now!

This website has been created to let you know all about our club, and to show you some of the photographic work that our members produce. If you would like to share your interest in photography with other enthusiasts, why not come along and join us.

Thank you for visiting our site and perhaps we may see you some day!
